No poison. Technique instead.
KB Solvers does not use biocides. Rats are kept out, not poisoned. Our approach is structural. We expose the access routes and then close them. Where mechanical removal is needed, we use traps. Nothing beyond that.
A rat that is kept out does not come back. A rat that is poisoned is replaced by the next one. Poison treats the symptom. We treat the cause.
For residents this means no risk of poisoning to children, pets or wildlife in the garden. For housing associations and construction firms it means no liability over biocide use and no notification duties. For the environment it means we solve the problem without harming other animals.

A three-storey family home in Amsterdam-Noord. The residents did everything right: clean household, tidy kitchen, no waste lying around. Yet the walls, ceilings and floors were covered in millions of rat droppings. Other pest controllers had been called before. The rats kept coming back.
KB Solvers was asked to read the building rather than only treat the infestation. We exposed every access route, removed six carcasses, trapped three live rats during the work and structurally sealed the building.

How we work
Our five-step method.
Structural inspection
We start with a thorough inspection on site, often combined with camera inspection of crawl space and facade. We want to understand the building before we do anything.
Exposing access routes
Not only the visible openings. We follow the traces into cavity walls, sewers and crawl spaces and lay the real routes bare.
Mechanical removal
What is present is removed mechanically, using traps where needed. No poison, no biocides.
Structural sealing
This is where Maarten Cok's construction background shows. Each access route is sealed durably, using the right materials in the right places.
Follow-up and monitoring
We return at agreed intervals. Not for show, but to verify that the building stays sealed and no new traces appear.

Not every question begins with "come and help".
Sometimes it starts with "what should I make of this?" KB Solvers is regularly hired to look at a file, a drawing or an ongoing project without an immediate intervention required.
A housing association asking us to assess a recurring issue. A construction firm wanting to know during design where the weak points sit. An HOA wanting a second opinion on someone else's quotation.
Advice is fully situation-dependent and can take a few hours on a drawing or several days on site. In practice, advisory projects range from €2,500 to €5,000. You get a craftsman who looks at your situation, a written report you can share internally, and recommendations you can act on yourself.
