Finally rid of the rat problem.
Is the problem coming back? Then you belong to the kind of client we are often called for. KB Solvers removes the trouble through structural work. No poison, no subscription, but a proper inspection up front and a plan that seals the building. Two Amsterdammers who have seen your type of home before.
Request a site visitWe are usually called when the problem returns
A familiar situation: you hired a pest controller before. Poison was laid. A week of quiet. A month later you or the children hear something behind the wall again. Or you find droppings in the meter cupboard once more.
The reason this happens: other pest controllers treat the animal. We treat the building. A rat that cannot find a way in cannot come in. A rat that is poisoned indoors is replaced by the next one along the same route.
What to expect from us
- A structural inspection of your home, including crawl space and facade.
- Exposure of access routes that other pest controllers missed.
- Mechanical removal where needed, using traps. No poison.
- Structural sealing so the problem does not return.
- Follow-up at agreed intervals. No subscription that catches you off guard.
Common access routes we find
- Poorly sealed pipe penetrations in the meter cupboard or bathroom floor.
- Open crawl-space hatches or damaged hatch surrounds.
- Defective facade vents or ventilation openings without fine mesh.
- Sewers with cracks or missing odour traps in older properties.
- Cavity walls where pointing has weakened.
- Gaps under or behind gutters and downpipes.
What we ask from you
A quiet moment to walk through the property together. Access to the crawl space if present. If possible a short description of when you hear or see traces. The more specific your story, the faster we find the cause.
Honest expectations on time and cost
An inspection usually takes one to two hours. After that you receive a written plan with pricing. A typical project takes five working days, depending on the property. Smaller cases can be faster. Larger or multi-route issues take longer. We are honest about that at the inspection stage.
What you can do yourself
- Do not feed birds or hedgehogs in the garden. Rats always benefit too.
- Keep the kitchen clear of food residue after use and close waste properly.
- Prune shrubs low along the facade. That removes cover.
- Seal or inspect open fireplace chimneys if smoke smells unusual.
- Keep crawl hatches closed and the meter cupboard dry and tidy.
Got a stubborn case? An inspection is the first step. Send us a message and we will book a working day that suits you.
